Friends: 10 Storylines Season 11 Could Have Explored
3. The Loss Of The Gellers
This one will probably come across as rather morbid, but that's not the worst thing a sitcom can do. Friends was a series that dealt with all aspects of life, from dating to work to children, but one area it could have expanded on was death. The only major deaths were from side characters like Mr Heckles and Estelle, but there were at least two fan-favourite characters who would have been great candidates.
Jack and Judy Geller were both fantastic additions to the series, as Judy was a great source of conflict for Monica, and Jack brought about plenty of humour. No one would have wanted to see either of them die, but killing one of them off could have led to some wonderful development for Ross/Monica and given possibly the most heartfelt episode of the whole series.
One of the show's producers - Kevin S. Bright - even said that he wanted Jack to bite the bullet in season ten, but in his own words, "nobody wanted to kill off Elliott Gould". Maybe season 11 could have been the chance to change that.
