Friends Cast: Where Are They Now?

7. Paul Rudd (Mike)

Paul Rudd joined Friends towards the end of its run, playing Phoebe’s love interest and eventual husband, Mike, or as he sometimes preferred, Crap Bag. Mike brought some stability to Phoebe’s kooky ways, and it was nice to see the sweet but incredibly naive Pheebs get herself a happy ending.

Career wise though, no one’s had a happier ending than Paul Rudd.

Most of the best comedies of the ‘00s and early ‘10s featured Rudd in some way: Anchorman, Forgetting Sarah Marshall, I Love You Man, The 40 Year Old Virgin, Knocked Up and plenty more besides. Following these, Rudd guest starred in Parks & Recreation, but in 2015 his career got even bigger.

When Rudd was cast as Ant-Man, it initially seemed like a strange decision: he was a buddy comedy dude, not a movie star. However, he brought his endearing goofiness to the MCU and became a much loved character. It’s difficult to imagine Ant-Man would have had such a crucial role in Endgame had he not been such a fan favourite.

Given that Rudd seems to be an ageless vampire, he may be starring in blockbusters for decades to come.
