1. Matt Groening Doesn't Realise When To Stop

It is almost always true that with the best comedy show makers, they know when to stop. Seth Macfarlane has said that he'd "Blow his brains out" if Family Guy went on for 20 years. John Cleese famously only wanted to do as few series of Monty Python's Flying Circus and Fawlty Towers as possible. Whereas Matt Groening has been with The Simpsons for almost 25 years, yet he and David X Cohen continually insist that they have more stories to tell with these characters and yet they clearly don't. Seasons 6 and 7 are proof that the well only has a couple of dregs left in them, particularly when there are twice as many 3 separate part episodes in seasons 6 and 7, as there were 1 through 4. Please Matt Groening and David X Cohen, listen to the studios. Let the hardcore fan base be left with the 4 brilliant seasons and 4 decent DVD releases and we'll ignore the enforced and rushed production of seasons 6 and 7, which, despite a few hidden gems was an utter disappointment. Please let us be left with fond memories of that fun, rewatchable and timeless little sci-fi side project to The Simpsons. Agree or Disagree? Were Fox and Comedy Central wrong to bring Futurama back? Were they wrong to cancel it? Let us know in the comments below.
