1. Euron's Disturbing Past

If you've read much of our Game of Thrones content, you'll be well aware of our thoughts on the show version of Euron - so we'll try not to repeat ourselves. All you need to know is that book Euron is almost as big a threat as the White Walkers; even if all the houses in Westeros put aside their difference, they'd still have a tough time stopping him.

Euron is a one eyed, megalomanic with aspirations to become a god. He has absolutely no remorse for his actions, he feels no empathy for anyone, and self-advancement is his only goal. There are several things Euron does in the books that make Ramsay seem like a reasonable guy.

But one of the most disturbing is revealed through the flashbacks of his younger brother Aeron. In the show Aeron offers Euron the Crown. In the book he resist his brother's bid for the Throne and suffers for it. During his ordeals, he is haunted by the sound of a squeaking door hinge. This triggers his memory of being a young child, reminding him that Euron would enter his room at night and molest him.

Yeah, George R.R. Martin's villains are the worst.
