So, what exactly is Melisandre capable of? Nobody really knows yet, though she's been around long enough to see flashes of power and torrents of failure.

She's obviously got something about her, proven by her ability to summon the shadow assassin to kill Renly Baratheon, but at the same time, she's shown she isn't infallible after leading Stannis and his troops into a bloodbath.

Melisandre will have an important role to play in Season 6, especially if she's got something to do with the potential return of Mr Snow, meaning a flashback to show how she first got involved with the Lord of Light's business would be helpful, and cast new light on the character still shrouded in mystery.
