Game Of Thrones: 10 Last Minute Predictions For Season 8

3. Cersei Is Killed In The Finale

From one villain to another, alongside the Night King there's still the not-so-little matter of Cersei Lannister, and her part in this season is rather more difficult to place.

While the living are fighting the dead, Cersei is simply going to be hanging back in King's Landing, with some golden company. Quite what that means for her part in things across the first few episodes, when all the action is up north, is unclear, but things will move south eventually.

The Night King may be the person they most need to kill, but Cersei is a bigger (and better) character, and one who has to be in the series finale. But also, because she's such a villain now, she can't survive either. Cersei is cruel but complicated, and her arc needs to finish with a death scene that is poignant and as complex as she is. Which is why Jaime should really be the one to do it. Either way, with the Night King defeated, it'll be time to fully deal with Cersei once and for all, leading to one of many huge moments (and deaths) of the finale.
