Game of Thrones: 10 Most Inventive Deaths

3. Suffocating Shae

Tyrion Lannister found out the hard way that love can be cruel when he was forced to kill Shae, the women he fell for, after finding her in his father's bed.

After tussling with his former girlfriend, he grabbed the necklace that he had bought her, jumped off his father's bed and yanked down, strangling her until her body was lifeless. Obviously Tyrion isn't going to kill anyone with a broad sword or axe, given his stature, so his ability to improvise and grab something to use against her was the only possible move.

The way she was positioned on the bed once he jumped off was perfect because not only did we see how he managed to kill her, we got to see a close up of his face as he did it. Watching his heartbroken reaction once he'd realised he'd kill the woman he loves because he needed to survive and he'd been betrayed by her was sad, but you've got give him kudos for thinking on his feet and ending it with one hard tug.
