Game Of Thrones: 10 Most Outrageous Fan Theories You Won't Believe

7. Septa Lemore Is Lyanna Stark

Lemore is a Septa travelling with Young Griff, a character we meet in the books but not the TV show on Tyrion’s journey to Meereen. Not much is known of her, but her true identity is subject to a lot of theorising.

One is that she’s Ashara Dayne, the woman believed to be Ned Stark’s true love, while another posits that she is the mother of Tyene, one of the Sand Snakes. The most outlandish, though, is that she’s Lyanna Stark. Yes, the same Lyanna Stark who died in her brother’s arms, and may be the mother of Jon Snow.

Tyrion notes that she has scars from childbirth, which would fit if the R+L=J theory turns out to be true (which is fairly likely). She’s described as being in her 40s, so she’d be of the right age to be Lyanna, and indicated that she wasn’t always a Septa.

It goes that Ned brought her bones back to Winterfell, but there was no one else (besides Howland Reed, who hasn’t turned up in the series yet) to back up the fact she had actually died. Ned took her son to raise, while she took off with Young Griff to help raise him.
