HBO, please. Please make this happen. It may be the most obvious flashback/prequel film to create, but it would also be the best, with rich amounts of everything that makes Game of Thrones, Game of Thrones, and best of all, it's 100% relevant to current happenings in the world, with a lot of the same characters involved. The entire film could begin with the Tourney at Harrenhal that sparked Robert Baratheon's rebellion and conquering of the Seven Kingdoms. The story goes that Rhaegar Targaryen triumphed in the tourney and gave his champion's roses to Lyanna Stark, Ned's sister, who was betrothed to Robert. This led to the Tower of Joy incidents which Robert would have you believe were the results of Rhaegar kidnapping Lyanna, though the famed R + L = J theory would cripple that thought trail. There's also the rebellion itself. The slaughter of the Mad King by Jaime Lannister, and the showstopping Battle of Ruby Ford as Robert and Rhaegar squared off. It would be a sensational, relevant, and hugely successful film. Now we've just got to severely hope that it makes a journey onto the big screen with an enormous budget.
