Why He'll Survive

Davos is another character who could well have been killed off already, but has instead been kept around. The fact he continues to live long after Stannis' death suggests he's really in it for the long haul, as does his increasing prominence and rise to becoming one of the show's very best characters.

He's not a great warrior, but he is a trusted advisor who believes in the good of the realm, the kind of person who should be around in a Westeros without its noble houses and divisions.

Why He Might Not

Like I said above, he's not the greatest fighter, even by his own admission. So if he's thrust onto the battlefield, he might struggle a bit. There's also that fact of him being ever more popular, which means his death would hit really hard.
