3. Sandor Clegane

Sandor Clegane is the ultimate anti-hero, but his protection of Arya and their camaraderie along the way saw him transform. His sulky personality remained consistent, but he opened up about his burns, and showed genuine concern for Arya in a way that transcended the money he expected to receive for her. His love of chicken, his non-nonsense butchery, his blunt anger, it was all fantastic. Tragically, he was left for dead in a way that would've been upsetting for any character, but with the Hound being such a strangely beloved figure it made the whole event even more distressing. There's a faint hope he could re-appear as we didn't actually see his death, but don't hold your breath.
