Hardhome, as an episode, was probably Thrones' finest hour. It started with Tyrion negotiating with Daenerys, but the final third of the episode demonstrated the sheer cinematic scale of the show with a battle that deviated away from the books. We were expecting big things from the episode, but an entire army of White Walkers sweeping through the wildling hordes wasn't high on the list. Every moment watching the icy demons on screen was shocking. We've rarely been treated to more than a minute or two of them on the screen, and this was the first time we got to see their entire army in attack mode. Re-watch the Hardhome sequence and let your jaw hit the floor.
