Game Of Thrones: 5 Key Characters That Appear To Have Been Cut From Season 5

5. Quentyn Martell

In the novel series, Prince Doran Martell has three children - sons Quentyn and Trystane and daughter Arianne. Trystane is a boy of thirteen, set to marry Princess Myrcella Baratheon, the daughter of Robert Baratheon and Cersei Lannister, whilst Quentyn is a man of nineteen, first introduced in A Dance With Dragons. Though ostensibly serving as a squire to one of Prince Doran's bannermen, Quentyn is actually tasked with secretly travelling to Meereen and making contact with Daenerys Targaryen by his father, with the intention that he will marry the 'Mother of Dragons' and rekindle the Martell/Targaryen alliance that was previously made through the marriage of Daenery's brother Rhaegar and Doran's sister Elia. Both were killed during the rebellion that saw Robert ascend to the throne, the latter in brutal circumstances at the hands of Ser Gregor Clegane, revenge for which was sought (at a high price) by Oberyn Martell in one of season four's most memorable (and gruesome) scenes. For season five, Trystane has been cast (Toby Sebastian will play the role) and aged-up significantly from the books, in tandem with Myrcella despite her much younger presence in earlier seasons. This hints at the possibility that his role will be merged with that of his older brother, who has not been cast, though the logistical implications of how he will be able to go halfway around the world in secret and pursue Daenerys whilst betrothed to Myrcella is anyone's guess.
