Game Of Thrones: 6 Outrageous Fan Theories About Hodor

Now, there have been a lot of fan theories surrounding Game Of Thrones since it first aired back in 2013, and I mean a lot. From a certain R + L = J theory, to various people being twins, to some shady characters being shapeshifting vampires, it's pretty much all be said.

This list, however, is based on the theories surrounding a beloved oaf named Walder, or better known to many as Hodor, because that's all the guy ever says.

Could you believe that this oversized buffoon is going to bring more to A Song Of Ice And Fire than just being Brandon Stark's ride? Well, believe it or not, many fans seem to think so after all. Or they might have completely lost their marbles from missing Game Of Thrones too much. You decide.

Here are 6 tin-foiled theories the fans have concocted for Hodor... or, erm, Walder. Whatever.

As you might have guessed, spoilers be inside...

The prophecy says that in a time when the long winter descends itself upon the world once again, R'hllor will send over a hero who wields a burning sword named Lightbringer. This hero would rise against the Others/White Walkers, but should he be defeated, the entire world shall fall with him. This hero is Azor Ahai.

So it's generally between Jon Snow, Daenerys Targaryen, Stannis Baratheon and in some odd cases, Ramsay Bolton.

However, with Jon dying (no you don't KNOW he's coming back, do you? sit down), Stannis looking like he's gonners - it's anyone's game now...  Hodor Ahai, anyone? Well it would definitely be a shocker.

Now, it might be a long-running joke on the internet, but what if George R. R. Martin pulls a fast one on us and makes Hodor the "Chosen One". 

To be honest we'd all just give up on the man (and the series) then.
