The Mistake: A character trusts Littlefinger. Seriously... any character. Yes, even season six's Sansa after Littlefinger brings the heat on Ramsay Bolton. Even then.
What It Cost: Thus far, Petyr Baelish has done a lot of betraying. Right from season one he's proven untrustworthy, causing all kinds of anarchy around him. Remember when he prompted the attempted murder of the freshly crippled Bran? Or when he held a blade to Ned Stark's throat and threw him to the Lannisters?
More recently, he's been seen toying with Sansa Stark, marrying her off to her future torturer Ramsay Bolton. His reasoning for that was to keep her far away from Cersei Lannister, whom he immediately visited and promised the North.
What's his aim? What's his ultimate goal? All we've got to go on is the deeds of his past, which means trusting Littlefinger only leads to a whole lot of hurt bloodshed.
