Game Of Thrones: 8 Most Exciting New Additions For Season 6
4. Randyll Tarly (James Faulkner)

Sam's father, the one responsible for striking fear and a sense of worthlessness into him, and ultimately taking the Black, Randyll Tarly is known as one of the finest battle tacticians in Westeros, and a fierce warrior himself, wielding the greatsword of Valyrian steel Heartsbane.
James Faulkner is in the role, and seems the type to bring the requisite sternness and intensity to the character. It's going to be good if we get the chance to see a Tarly family reunion - Sam's mother, brother, and sister have all been cast as well - and something that should help develop Sam's character even further, by shedding more light on his backstory and showing how far he's come.
The other aspect, and an even more exciting one, is the notion of him not as Sam's dad but as the leading of the Tyrell army. In the books he's called to King's Landing by Kevan Lannister, and something similar here would be a great way to utilise the strengths of the character.
