Game Of Thrones: 8 Most Exciting New Additions For Season 6

3. Euron Greyjoy (Pilou Asbæk)

Ignoring impact on the plot and other characters, and focusing purely on the character, this may be the most exciting addition to Season 6.

Danish actor Pilou Asbæk isn't a household name (he's best known for his role on Borgen), but Euron Greyjoy is in Westeros. The infamous pirate, he's setup as one of the most savage and dangerous men around; someone who claims to have sailed as far as Asshai and the smoking sea, and walked the ruins of Valyria. He's ruthless and brutal, having pillaged, murdered, and raped his way around the world, and commands a ship called Silence, so-named because all of the crew are mutes, having had their tongues ripped out by Euron.

Really, who doesn't want to see that guy on the show? Of course, the books only give us hints of this, either as his history or tales of the war he begins to wage on the Reach, so the prospect of actually seeing the Crow's Eye living up to his reputation on the TV series is a fantastically exciting prospect, and brings a whole load of renewed interest in the Iron Islands.
