Tower. Of. Joy.

Yes, arguably the most exciting development of Season 6 isn't the return of Jon Snow, or Sandor Clegane, or Bran, or any of those other characters coming back, it's that we're finally getting to see what happened at the Tower of Joy, the fabled events that led to the rescue of Lyanna Stark by Ned and Howland Reed, and hold they key to the parentage of Jon.

We've seen a few shots of this in the trailer, including the man who appears to be playing young Ned (there's an even younger Ned set to appear at some stage as well, fighting with a wooden sword), and what may be the show's take on Ser Arthur Dayne, wielding two swords rather than one greatsword.

The actors involved in this scene are all relatively unknowns, believed to include Luke Roberts, Eddie Eyre, and Robert Aramayo, but that's no bad thing, given the task they have of portraying these legendary figures, especially in the case of taking on Ned Stark. The though of getting to see this battle play out, and its aftermath with Lyanna in the tower, and possibly getting answers to one of the series' biggest mysteries, is incredibly exciting.
