Game Of Thrones Season 6: 10 Ups And 2 Downs From 'Home'
7. The Return (And Introduction) Of The Greyjoys
In one way, this could be considered a down: it's the first time we've seen Yara since Season 4, the first time we've seen Balon since Season 3, and the first time we've seen Euron, well, ever (barring the trailers, of course). To that end, there might have been some rather confused viewers wondering just who these people are, and why a man is being killed by his young-enough-to-be-his-son brother.
However, it's a really well-executed scene, with the gloomy shots of Pyke and the dark storm on the bridge, with some top work from Patrick Malahide and Pilou Asbæk ("I am the storm!"). The Iron Islands isn't a storyline I've always been that invested in, both on the show and in the books, but the arrival of Euron is particularly exciting, and I'm glad they've already started establishing that he's a crazy badass, while also setting up a streamlined version of the Kingsmoot.
