5. Ser Davos!

The trailers for Season 6 have pushed Ser Davos right into the spotlight, showing that he's really moving up to be a main player this year, and that is what happens here, even with the action spread-out across the lands.

Davos is very much at the centre of the goings-on at Castle Black, as he is the one who first discovers Jon's dead body, and then takes command of that small band of brothers still loyal to the (former) Lord Commander.

He's always been great in a supporting role, but it remained to be seen how he stepped up to the plate as the man in charge, but thankfully he totally nails it. The scene where he negotiates with Alliser Thorne is a particular highlight, and with so much chaos at the Wall, his presence his greatly needed, and as a viewer it's very much welcomed.
