2. The Dead Are Back...

Another episode, another opportunity for Bran to stretch his magical legs, this time coming face to face with some wights. A terrifying number of them.

Worryingly, there's no sign of the Raven, so, it would seem that his last lesson (and his desire to stay longer with his father) has left an indelible mark on him. He wants to go back and spend more time in this weird vision realm that's halfway between reality and fantasy. And unfortunately it would seem that his attempt to fly solo in the absence of the Raven leads him straight to his enemy.

Even more worryingly, It doesn't appear that Bran can be roused from this particular vision.

There's something very Lord Of The Rings about this, and specifically when Pippin gets his hand on the Palantiri and accidentally allows Sauron to see him (and wrongly assume he has the Ring). A similar thing - of course - happened in Harry Potter when Harry is tricked into going to retrieving the prophecy from the Ministry Of Magic: in all cases, it feels like the enemy is using the hero's naivety to against them.
