Game Of Thrones Season 6: 9 Book Storylines That Could Still Be Used

5. Euron Wages War

Game of Thrones Siege of Riverrun
HBO

What Is It? Having been elected King in the Iron Islands, Euron begins to make good on his promise of conquering Westeros, even if it is sans dragons at this point.

He begins raids on the Reach, the area ruled by House Tyrell from Highgarden, which are largely successful, as he manages to capture a number of lands, including a significant strike on the Shield Islands, led by Victarion.

Odds Of It Happening? Good, in some shape or form. Euron is supposed to be a fierce warrior, a fearless pirate, and a complete badass. If the show wants to do the character justice, they kind of need to show him doing those things, and with the Kingsmoot probably not taking up too much time, they'll need to move things on from being sat around at the Iron Islands. Whether it's the Reach, or some other area of Westeros that he attacks first remains to be seen, but we should expect to see Euron - and the Greyjoy fleet - in action.
