Game Of Thrones Season 7: Everything We Know So Far
5. A Huge Cliffhanger
Game of Thrones is no stranger to cliffhanger endings, given they killed off their main character and then spent nine months lying to fans about whether or not he'd be coming back. Could something similar be in store for Season 7? Although she doesn't specifically mention the finale, Williams does tease an infuriating end, telling Time Out we can expect "a huge cliffhanger".
If there is to be a big season-ending cliffhanger - which I'll assume is what she means, as it'd be slightly weird to tease an episodic cliffhanger that'll be resolved within a week - then there's one obvious candidate that stands out.
Rather than mimicking the Jon Snow death cliffhanger, I think it's rather more likely that the end of Season 7 is when we'll see the Wall come down - the magic in it broken by Bran passing through - which will setup the White Walker invasion for Season 8, leading to the climactic Battle of Ice and Fire.
Williams has been quite vocal about her excitement for Season 7 over the last few months, tweeting that "nothing will prepare you" and reacting with a "HOLY BALLS" after seeing the scripts.
