3. What We've Seen So Far

Though we are yet to have a proper trailer for the new season - hopefully that is creeping ever closer - we have add a couple of very brief teases. Not much, but something is better than nothing where Game of Thrones is concerned. Firstly there were a few new shots in a HBO 'what's new' video, showing (in different scenes) Jon, Sansa, and Arya.

After that there wasn't much for a long time, but then a couple of "In production" teases recently appeared. One shows Queen Cersei, the other Brienne's sword Oathkeeper.

Meanwhile, the date announcement was accompanied by a teaser showing all of the house sigils crumbling - an indication of the destruction about to hit Westeros, and the fact that House allegiances need to be put aside to take on the White Walkers.

Finally we've at last got something a little more concrete, with a Throne Room tease building towards a showdown between four very different rulers: Cersei, Daenerys, Jon, and the Night King. There's not much new in there, and the scenes are designed specifically for the trailer, but it's a great hype-builder regardless - especially that cold breath of Cersei.
