Game Of Thrones Season 7 Premiere: 9 Things You Might've Missed In 'Dragonstone'

4. That Giant ISN'T Wun Wun

The vision of the army of undead making their slow march is chilling, and the biggest aspect (literally and figuratively) was the presence of giants. Undead, ice giants.

Since they appeared, however, there's been a constant stream of commentary about how this is Wun Wun - who died back in Season 6 - due to the show's choice to focus in on a close up of its face, complete with missing eye.

Combined with the fact that this wight is credited as being played by Ian Whyte, who also played Wun Wun, everyone is assuming they're the same. Of course, this partly ignores the fact Wun Wun died at Winterfell, but even accepting the White Walkers laying waste to the North and this being the future, it's not him.

The giant we see here is missing his left eye. Wun Wun, however, was shot through the right eye. So yeah, not the same guy. Also, given what Jon Snow has seen, it seems highly improbable that he wouldn't burn the dead after the Battle of the Bastards.
