5. The Hound Is Clued In (And Magic?!)

The Hound - easily the most watchable Game Of Thrones character by some distance - has now become the latest figure to learn the truth about the White Walkers. After stealing everyone's hearts anew by mercilessly haranguing Thoros ("the bald c*nt") and Beric and saying "c*nt" as many times as possible, Sandor nodded to his gravedigger storyline in the books and then was treated to a vision in the fire by Thoros of the coming icy doom.

Putting aside his mortal fear of the flame temporarily, he sees the same vision of the approaching white army as Bran does at the episode's outset, suggesting that he is somehow possessed of the same visionary power as Thoros.

Previously, only red priests and priestesses were capable of "reading" the fire, so it's odd for this to just drop out of nowhere. Is it a suggestion that Sandor has some element of magic to him - that he's somewhat in touch with the Lord Of Light like Thoros and Beric? Surely if it was a power everyone could command, they'd use it to see into the future casually all the time. And it's not like Sandor is even a believer.

To say this is a big moment is a colossal understatement, and if it turns out that he is indeed an oracle of the Lord Of Light (or at least an appointed warrior), it significantly evens the odds for the coming Cleganebowl. Without special powers, The Hound would have been torn apart by his zombie brother, but with a little magic to him, it's a different story entirely.
