Game Of Thrones Season 7 Trailer 2 Reactions: 7 Ups & 3 Downs

1. Huge Stakes, Huge Action

When it was announced that the condensed season 7 would have only 7 episodes, it was difficult not to be disappointed. It felt like we'd be losing out on 3 hours of prime content for no reason, when there's clearly more than enough left to say to warrant a full run.

But looking at this trailer, you can see the logic of cutting the episodes: if HBO hadn't, they'd likely be faced with a spiralling budget that simply wasn't sustainable. And to make up for the fact that we will be getting fewer episodes, it looks like every one of them is going to be double-stuffed with action. We're in for a veritable buffet of action, huge stakes and incredible set-pieces.

There'll be at least a couple of major sea-based battles, we'll see the Dothraki and Dany's dragons in open warfare against the Lannisters, Hardhome Vol 2, the Unsullied taking Casterly Rock and honestly, it's almost too much to take.
