Game Of Thrones Season 8 Trailer Breakdown: 21 Things You Need To See
3. Tyrion
Tyrion is largely conspicuous by his absence in this trailer. He gets nothing to do, no moment of note, which is frustratingly in keeping with his character over the past few seasons. Ever since he left Westeros, he's been more on the periphery of the main storyline, and the trailer does little to suggest that's changing.
Indeed, more interesting than Tyrion himself is the terrain he's standing on, which definitely doesn't look like the snowy landscape of the North from earlier in the trailer. Maybe it's now just covered in ash after all that fire, but there's a better chance that this is from later in the season - hence giving nothing away - when the survivors have moved south. Might this even be the moment of his theorised betrayal, since his loyalties and motives are in question?
