6. Robert Would Still Die

If Daenerys had gathered her troops and pulled together the vast amount of ships required before Robert died, an enormous amount of the first season may never have taken place in the same way. The mere presence of Daenerys on the move would put Westeros on standby, and the prospect of hunting a Targ would've been too appealing for Robert to refuse. But that doesn't mean it would end well for him. Once again Jorah can explain: "He is a strong man, brave... and rash enough to meet a Dothraki horde in the open field. But the men around him, well, their pipers play a different tune. His brother Stannis, Lord Tywin Lannister, Eddard Stark." In an open field, the Dothraki are second to none, but Robert's pride would meet them in battle nonetheless and be wiped out without the need for Cersei's poison or a wild boar.
