Game Of Thrones: 10 Spoilers Learnt By The Released Episode Titles

6. Joffrey Will Die, And Tyrion And Sansa Will Be Blamed

And the entire viewership will rejoice! The episode The Lion And The Rose can really only refer to Joffrey and Margaery's wedding (as you know their house sigils - well, the sigils of Houses Lannister and Tyrell - are a lion and a rose). It could also refer to the impending marriage between Cersei and Loras, though I still hold out hope that they will swear Loras into the Kingsguard. Joffrey bites the dust at his own wedding after drinking from a poisoned chalice, and Cersei immediately blames Tyrion and Sansa, claiming that Joffrey pointed at him as he choked and also shouting that Tyrion had ample opportunity to put something in Joffrey's goblet, as he was acting as the King's cupbearer. Tyrion is immediately imprisoned for the crime (while Sansa escapes; see the next entry), even though he had nothing to do with the murder (though he had plenty of motive; Joffrey had spent most of the celebration mocking and humiliating him in front of the crowd). It is heavily implied that a stone from Sansa's hairnet was a poison known as the Strangler, and that Littlefinger and the Tyrells planned the murder between them (though that bit Littlefinger tells Sansa himself). I am going to take a guess that The Lion And The Rose ends with Tyrion's imprisonment; what a cliffhanger that would be.
