Game Of Thrones: 10 Spoilers Learnt By The Released Episode Titles

4. The Wildlings Will Begin Attacking The Night's Watch

The Wildlings were almost at Castle Black when Jon escaped, and had already climbed parts of the Wall. Jon barely made it back to the Watch with his life after being shot by a heartbroken Ygritte, and is not given much time to recover before becoming involved in the defence of Castle Black against Styr's raiding party. So few brothers are still garrisoned there, and so few made it back from the Fist of the First Men that there is hardly anyone there to defend the Wall. Jon, in agony from his injuries, is only able to fight as an archer on the Wall, and has a good view of the battle, particularly its turning moment when Castle Black's blacksmith Donal Noye looses fire kegs on the Wildlings below. Jon also gets a clear shot at Ygritte at one point during the battle, but cannot bring himself to kill her. After the fire kegs have done their damage (and killed Styr), he goes out into the field to survey the damage, and comes across a badly injured Ygritte. She dies in his arms, after telling him for the last time: "You know nothing, Jon Snow." It's likely that this happens within the first few episodes, most likely in Breaker Of Chains; Mance Rayder is trying to save the Wildings from the White Walkers and his fight to get them through the Wall would be an interesting juxtaposition with Daenerys' fight to take over Meereen (see the next point); the Free Folk trying to enter the realm, Daenerys trying to make free folk of Meereen's slaves and bringing them under her rule. It is doubtful however that the show will follow the books and let Ygritte die so early; a close look at the trailer shows that she makes it inside the Wall's passageways, something the Wildlings didn't accomplish until much further on in A Storm Of Swords.
