3. Daenerys Will Discover Jorah Mormont's Betrayal
If you recall, back in Season One Robert Baratheon was sending assassins to kill Daenerys after hearing of her marriage to Khal Drogo. Varys mentioned that he had spies in Essos with her; we do not learn who, although after hearing that Daenerys is pregnant with the Khal's child, Jorah Mormont suspiciously leaves to travel to Qohor without stating why. Could he have been sending a message to King's Landing? Jorah has since proven himself a loyal servant of Daenerys, helping her when the khalasar turned against her after Drogo's death and never leaving her side. He is quite obviously in love with her, although equally obviously it is unrequited. He seems to have completely renounced his spying and indeed little or no mention of Daenerys is made at the Small Council after Season One, showing they do not have access to as much information about her. But Ser Barristan reveals to Daenerys that Jorah was being paid to spy on her, and Daenerys sends him away in anger after the Battle of Meereen. It's likely that she learns of Jorah's betrayal in either Two Swords or The Lion And The Rose (probably the former as I would imagine The Lion And The Rose will mostly focus on King's Landing), and that in Breaker of Chains she sends him into Meereen's sewers to open the city gates for her.
