7. Season 4 Daenerys
HBONow this is one that can't be blamed on the show changing too much from the books. In fact, the show might even have made Daenerys' long stay in Meereen marginally more interesting than the source material. In season one and two, the scenes involving Daenerys were a big highlight. The huge Khalasar, Daenarys' transition into a strong, fierce woman, and the birth of her dragons served as a brilliantly exotic retreat from the grey, medieval Westeros. Then, along came the Slaver's Bay, Meereen and Daario. What should have been an epic tale of Daenerys freeing slaves from a lifetime of oppression is instead a tedious wait for her to finally take a fleet over to Westeros and claim the Iron Throne. At this rate, it's beginning to look like she'll never get there.
