Game Of Thrones: 12 Sickening Moments Almost Too Disgusting For TV

2. The 'Stark Children' Hung And Burnt

ChildrenThe Moment: If there was ever an argument for bingeing on a show it would be the ending of The Man Without Honour. After taking Winterfell and keen to show his dominance after the whole Rodrik incident, Theon presents the population of the stronghold with the charred bodies of two children, claiming them to be Bran and Rickon Stark. Clearly he€™d given up trying to be as respected as Ned. Why It's So Sickening: Good God Theon, how many times will you appear on this list? Everything about it is sickening. The suddenness of the reveal, snuck in at the end of an episode already full of plots without any previous suggestion knocks you out of your seat. Child torture is one of the furthest directions Thrones had gone and being in such a fruitless area of the plot, with the Iron Throne in no one's sights, made it all the more tragic. Frankly, it was needless. Of course the children weren't actually the Starks (Theon was nowhere near capable enough to actually capture them), but that doesn't make the act any less sickening. In any other show this whole subplot would be pretty bad, but with Thrones happy to knock off just about anyone you€™re left with a week to ponder if it has actually done the unspeakable.
