Game Of Thrones: 8 Things We Learned From "The Laws Of Gods And Men"

6. Daenerys Is Dealing With Some Unforeseen Problems

Daenerys may be the new queen of Meereen, but that doesn€™t mean things are easy. On the contrary, she already has new situations to deal with. First, her dragons. With her three €œchildren€ getting bigger, they need more space to fly and find food. Fortunately, since she and her followers have made Meereen their new home, they have all the free space they want. Unfortunately for the farmer in this episode, however, his goats suffer as a result. Some are grabbed to be eaten, and the rest are incinerated. The farmer goes to Daenerys to tell her what happened, and apologizing, she promises to pay him the value of his goats three times over. Satisfied, the man collects the remains he brought with him and hurries out of the chamber. Next up is Hizdahr zo Loraq, son of one of the Great Masters crucified during her liberation of Meereen. Hizdahr says how his father had voted against crucifying the slave children that Daenerys saw on her way to Meereen, and asks if he may have his father€™s body taken down and buried in the Temple of the Graces. He also asks the same treatment of the other Masters, but Daenerys points out how the Masters left the children to rot. Hizdahr can€™t defend the actions of the Masters, but only wants to see his father€™s body laid to rest. Giving it some thought, she allows Hizdahr to take his father€™s body. After he leaves, she learns there are still 212 people waiting to speak with her. It's back to work. Daenerys knew that learning to be a queen would be hard work, and this is just a glimpse of what she€™ll have to deal with. Since he€™s one of Meereen€™s more notable citizens, it€™s likely that she€™ll run into Hizdahr zo Loraq again in the near future. As for her dragons, Daenerys will need to get a handle on them quick. If they keep eating the livestock of Meereen (or worse), she€™ll use up the kingdom€™s funds paying reimbursement for lost property.
