Game Of Thrones: Joffrey's 10 Most Slappable Acts Of Dickery

4. Making Sansa View Ned's Head €“ 'Fire And Blood'

Quickly, what's worse than decapitating your betrothed's father? How about making her look at that head on a pike? Yeah, that'll probably do it. Let's set the scene €“ we've just come off one of the all-time biggest shocks in TV history, the death that catapulted Game Of Thrones into the cultural zeitgeist. For many, this was the first time they'd come face-to-face with GRRM's penchant for offing characters on a whim and they were still traumatised going into 'Fire And Blood.' We probably could've done with a lie down. Enter Joffrey. While the show tactfully avoided showing us Sean Bean's bonce in the opening moments €“ opting for vignettes like Ned's blood-spattered sword and the head being raised out of focus as a distraught Arya is taken away €“ the boy king made sure Sansa, and by extension us, got a nice long look at it, shiskebabed on the city walls. Hadn't the poor girl suffered enough? The fact this particular act of dickishness began with the charming line "As soon as you've had your blood, I'll put a son in you," really makes sure this moment takes the prize. She should've been quicker about pushing him off that bridge.
