Game Of Thrones Season 4: 10 Things Fans Who Haven't Read The Books Want To See
6. Jon Snow Gets Ygritte Back
Searching for meaning in life, Ned Stark's illegitimate son Jon Snow joined the Night's Watch, a solemn order of knights who forgo the pleasures of life in order to patrol the wall that protects Northern Westeros from the wild lands. On a mission beyond the Wall, Snow is captured by wildlings, then forced to pretend he has betrayed his brothers in the Night's Watch in order to both save his own skin and keep an eye on menaces in the North. However, when he meets Ygritte, a young woman in the wildling's camp, his oaths start to waver. Snow travels with the wildlings and their king, Mance Rayder, but all the while, his relationship with Ygritte grows. They make love (in direct violation of his Night's Watch vows), and she confides that she knows where his true loyalties lie but she's okay with it, as long as he never leaves her. Jon makes a new vow, to be true to his love, but he is forced to break this one, too, when he is attacked by the rest of the untrusting wildlings. He flees Ygritte, who eventually catches up with him and shoots him with three arrows. Once again, though, Jon Snow escapes, finding his way back to the Night's Watch headquarters at Castle Black. Jon Snow is arguably the noblest character in the entire series, and his love doesn't come cheap; Ygritte has truly captured his heart, and even though Snow is back with his own people, he will remember his promise to her. Let's just hope Ygritte forgives him but she has to, right? Their love is made to last, right?
