Games Of Thrones Season 7: What 'Eastwatch' Really Means
4. Cersei Probably Has Something Nefarious Up Her Sleeve
There is absolutely no way we should take Cersei's willingness to meet up with Dany and Jon to discuss a truce as her softening and actually be willing to work with her enemies. As she said, she has a very firm idea of what happens to her no matter what she does: she dies.
Cersei instead vowed to beat her enemies the way her father would, which is a very interesting point considering what it could specifically mean.
Cersei could effectively be mapping out her plan to copy her father's plot in the wake of the Battle Of The Trident, during which he pretended that he was marching to King's Landing to protect the king, only to turn on him, sack King's Landing and have Ser Gregor Clegane massacre the Royal Family.
It's the bait and switch element and Clegane's involvement that is key here. It would be entirely fitting that Cersei would lull her enemies into false confidence that she's happy to talk, only to sic The Mountain on them, finally setting up the clash of the Cleganes.
