Glee: 15 Greatest Moments From The Show So Far

5. Finchel Breaks Up for Real This Time.

If you have yet to see the last episode to air, Season 4's "The Break Up" I am sorry for the spoiler. If you don't want anymore, I suggest you skip to this next page. For all those who don't care, or have watched the episode I will continue on. This immediately became one of my favorite Glee episodes of all time, and was probably the most mature episode Glee has ever made, both in terms of direction, dialogue, acting and song choices. This episode featured the demise of the three most popular relationships in Glee; Finchel, Klaine and Brittana. Though I doubt many of them will stay broken up forever, this episode still had an incredibly powerful emotional punch. There are two great scenes from the end of this episode which combine into one creating perhaps the most emotional ending a Glee episode has ever had. The first is Lea Michele's fantastic and surprising monologue to Finn about their current relationship, and why, although she will love him forever, they need to break up. Honestly, this is one of the most incredible acting performances by anyone I have ever seen, and I am surprised that Lea Michelle had this sort of talent. Her acting in this break up scene alone deserves all the awards. The song that is sung immediately after is also one of Glee's best. Every core relationship on the show sings Coldplay's "The Scientist" beautifully, and has given me new meaning and a renewed and refreshed respect to one of my favorite songs. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AoccmrRGtus

I am a recent Screenwriting for Film and Television graduate from the UK. I am an unashamed geek who loves everything Marvel, and anything Joss Whedon has ever touched (except for maybe Alien Resurrection and Titan A.E). My current favorite TV shows are Breaking Bad, Family Guy, House of Cards, Game of Thrones, American Horror Story, Homeland and Glee. I look forward to debating things with all of you in the future.
