Gotham: 12 Early Batman Moments That Must Be Adapted

3. Bruce And Alfred Set Up The Batcave

If you run your crime fighting operation inside a gigantic mansion, chances are that eventually someone€™s going to discover it, which is precisely why Bruce and Alfred have the Batcave. As with the comics, the cave should already exist under the house, but rather than go the barren route that Batman Begins did, this cave should look like the ones from the comics and earlier Batman films, which may require expansion of the area. This place should be decked out, with a massive computer lining the wall, tables covered with tools and weaponry, and a platform for his vehicles, etc. This is likely to come late in the show, naturally, and there naturally shouldn't be any of Batman's infamous trophies, since he hasn't yet begun his crime fighting career. To pay homage to the 1966 Batman TV series, have the main entrance to the cave be behind a bookcase that opens up when Bruce presses a button hidden inside a Shakespeare bust, though without the Batpoles. This Batcave moment could also explain to the viewers where Bruce acquired all of his gadgets and technology, which has never really been explored in detail - particularly in terms of him choosing his default tech set-up. We could see Bruce deciding on which items should become part of his normal inventory, and different variations before he settles on what we would recognise as the more typical Batman equipment. For each item, we could see a flashback sequence showing where he got said item, whether it was through Wayne Enterprises, another third-party source, or fashioned himself.
