Gotham Season 5: 5 Ups & 1 Down From ‘13 Stitches’
2. The Camaraderie
As noted earlier, one of the main ways that Boston was able to include every one of the show's central characters in this episode was the Eduardo Dorrance storyline, which sees the military man and his team of trained operatives hunt for Gordon.
We were previously made aware that Gordon would be teaming up with Barbara, Oswald and Nygma in the season premiere, Year Zero, during a flash-forward sequence. At the time, it wasn't clear why the former foes join forces, but 13 Stitches proves that, when the forces of antagonism are strong enough, they're willing to put their differences aside and fight on the same side. It's likely that this upcoming showdown will have something to do with the illusive Walker, but at this stage it's pure speculation.
In the meantime, let's focus on the camaraderie in this episode. Watching Gordon, Alfred, Bruce and Lucius operating on the same side as Nygma and Barbara is exhilarating, and it provides a brand new dynamic for the show. What's more, they all prove capable of working well together, so it's likely that we'll see them teaming up more often as the series draws to a close.
