7. Vincent D'Onofrio's Personal Remarks
Vincent D’Onofrio’s return to the MCU has been well received from all viewers. As he reignites the tyrant Fisk perfectly in a new setting, the comparisons between the Daredevil and Hawkeye shows have been interesting to observe.
The actor has opened up in interviews about his return to Marvel and his own personal theories about Kingpin’s current status within the MCU. Sharing interesting behind the scenes directions he received which instructed him to essentially act the same as he did back on Daredevil. Portraying the same childish brute shows to the viewers how little the 'soft reboot' affected the character.
One of the actor's ideas suggests that Wilson has taken quite a blow from the events prior to and post Endgame and is trying to rebuild what he once had. As well as this, he has taken to his Twitter to post multiple Kingpin related tweets fuelling the possibilities for his future in the MCU including comic pages of classic Spider-Man vs Kingpin action.
Though D’Onofrio has clearly stated that no executive or writers have shared any future plans for his characters yet, alongside Charlie Cox’s assured return as Daredevil we can surely hope that Kingpin’s revival will come sooner than anticipated.
