House Of Cards: Ranking All The Main Characters From Worst To Best
1. Frank Underwood
For all the controversy, for all the right reasons that Spacey was fired, Frank Underwood was still the best character in House Of Cards, hands down. It wasn't and couldn't be great without him.
Frank was a man of revenge, hatred, sheer cunning, and few morals. His rise to power was incredible TV to binge and millions bought a Netflix subscription to see him manoeuvre his way to the top of the political triangle.
He always pulled the win out of the bag, snatching victory from the jaws of defeat, his ultimate vision of power was recognised and attained when he became the 46th President of the United States. He was willing to kill, destroy, and sleep with anybody on his way to the Oval Office. But his biggest surprise was that he was not without his redemptive feelings, Claire, Doug, and to a certain extent Meechum all had the affection of Francis Underwood, and this was demonstrated at several points in the show.
The fact that he never got his real ending is the fault of the actor who played him so well, as opposed to bad writing or any storylines that were not thought through. The fact that we never saw his final moments play out as they should have done makes his absence all the more felt in the final season of the show and reveals just how good Spacey was in the role.
