6. How Is Cathy Going To Return?

In one of Season 5's numerous late-in-the-day shocks, Frank invites Catherine Durant over to the White House to try and convince her not to testify. When she refuses to bow to his will, he pushes her down the stairs, leaving her fate uncertain.

We do hear that she's in hospital, which should mean she won't be killed off just yet, but that just begs the question of how and when she'll be coming back. No one seemed to notice any coincidence in that fact she 'fell' in the presence of Frank just before testifying against him, but perhaps she herself will make allegations against him.

Not necessarily in public, since she's a shrewd operator, but certainly to Claire, who she may well continue to work with going forwards (if she makes a full recovery, that is).
