How I Met Your Mother Cast: Where Are They Now?

Now, this is a tricky one to dissect. Marvin Waitforit Eriksen has been played by numerous actors throughout How I Met Your Mother history; baby Marvin's actor is unknown, but he was played by August Maturo as six-year-old Marvin, Jake Elliott as twelve/fourteen-year-old Marvin, and Spencer Ralston as adult Marvin.

All three are deserving of being talked about here;

August Maturo - August's time on How I Met Your Mother was actually just his second foray into acting. He's since found work on shows such as Bones and Mickey Mouse Mixed-Up Adventures, alongside The Nun, Slapface, and the upcoming feature Boys on the film side of things, with his biggest role to date coming via Disney Channel's Girl Meets World. He played Auggie Matthews.

Jake Elliott - Jake had two appearances as a slightly older version of Marvin Jr. in 2012. Since then, he's worked on shows including Parks and Recreation, The Fosters, Shameless, and Two Broke Girls. Elliott's most recent piece of work saw him as Ricky on a 2020 episode of Black-ish, playing Ricky.

Spencer Ralston - the oldest version we saw of Marvin Jr. was played by Spencer Ralston, who sadly hasn't had much luck since his sole 2014 appearance. His work has predominantly been limited to short films, including work on Swiped Right: Ghosted, Log Out To Log In, and Spencer Ralston: Predator, along with one appearance on Superstore.
