How I Met Your Mother Cast: Where Are They Now?
10. Michael Gross - Alfred Mosby
He may have only had three appearances on How I Met Your Mother, but Michael Gross' character still had an important role to play; he was the father of Ted, after all.
Despite now being 73-years-old, Gross has remained active since his final HIMYM appearance a decade ago. Roles in popular television series' such as Family Guy, Curb Your Enthusiasm, and CSI: Crime Scene Investigation have kept him busy, and that's then backed up with his numerous straight-to-television movies. In 2012 alone, he starred in Blue-Eyed Butcher, Adopting Terror, Naughty Or Nice, and The Dog Who Saved The Holidays.
Four appearances on Suits as Walter Gillis came two years later, with his roles becoming few and far between in more recent years. A variety of Christmas films have seen Michael as Ted in 2018's Christmas Pen Pals, Tom Anderson in 2019's Christmas Reservations, Elder Elf Abe in 2019's Noelle, and Graham Moore in last year's A Ring For Christmas.
Behind-the-scenes, Gross also served as a producer for nine episodes of Carbon Dating, and was a writer for 2020 mini-series Burt For President. Having been an actor for closer to five decades, perhaps this is where his future lies going forward.
