The eventual World Wide News co-anchor comes with quite the story, having previously been a teen pop singer by the alias of Robin Sparkles and having a three-year marriage to Barney. In 2020, she's shown to be living in New York with her dogs, being asked out by a widowed Ted.
Following her time on HIMYM, Cobie has had a number of appearances on a variety of Marvel shows and films as Maria Hill, including Avengers: Age of Ultron, Avengers: Infinity War (a role she's uncredited for), and Spider-Man: Far From Home. As well as physical appearances, the Maria Hill character was also voiced by Cobie in the Lego Marvel's Avengers video game.
Away from the land of Marvel, Smulders has also been shown on A Series of Unfortunate Events as the Mother, Friends From College as Lisa Turner, Stumptown as Dex Parios (of which she is also the co-executive producer), and Arrested Development as a young Lucille.
