14. Chris Elliott - Mickey Aldrin
Lily's father Mickey, played by Chris Elliott, only had eleven episodes of How I Met Your Mother to his name, but yet, he managed to create a fully-fledged character with a decent backstory. He wasn't as good a father to Lily as he could have been, and was obsessed with launching his own board game creator business under the name of Aldrin Games.
The real-life Chris Elliott, however, hasn't been short of work since. He's got appearances on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit and Community on his acting CV, alongside the 2017 letdown of a film that was Sandy Wexler. Still, Elliott can say he's co-starred alongside Adam Sandler and Jennifer Hudson as a result of this, so you know, swings and roundabouts.
Arguably Chris' biggest role since the show ended, however, saw him play Mayor Roland Schitt on hit show Schitt's Creek between 2015 and 2020. From this, he won two awards; one from the Canadian Screen Awards in 2016, and one from the Screen Actors Guild Awards in 2020.
His most recent work came via The Shivering Truth, although he currently has two other projects in production; Christmas vs. The Walters, where he stars as Dr. Tom, and the debut episode of 20th Television's Maggie, where he'll play the role of Jack.
