2. What Was Sylvie's Nexus Event?
At the very beginning of episode four, Loki gave fans their first look at Sylvie's childhood. She was sat playing with her toys when the TVA, specifically Renslayer, turned up and arrested her for crimes against the Sacred Timeline, and took her away from her home and life forever.
Even after all these years, Sylvie came no closer to understanding exactly why she was taken away. All she knew was that something about her caused the Sacred Timeline to divert enough, and that she wasn't supposed to exist. This is utterly heartbreaking, and made even worse by her never knowing why.
When she, Loki, and Renslayer were in the elevator going to see the mysterious Time Keepers, she asked the former Hunter A-23 what her Nexus event was. After trying to tell her that it didn't matter, Renslayer admitted to Sylvie that she didn't even remember. Yet another gut punch to the Variant.
This could have been to signify just how little the TVA actually cares, or how inconsequential Sylvie is to Renslayer, despite the fact she absolutely ruined her life. However, just about everything that Renslayer has said so far has been a lie, so why should she be believed now?
It's entirely possible that there are even more secrets buried behind Sylvie's abduction that she wants to keep to herself.
