Lost In Space Review: 5 Ups & 5 Downs

4. Molly Parker's Strong Performance

Lost In Space
Netflix

Though her character isn't always the easiest to embrace, Molly Parker is the show's easy MVP performance-wise, lending her signature cool to mother and aerospace engineer Maureen Robinson, and as such delivering the most well-rounded, intriguing character of the bunch (excluding the robot, of course).

Parker has to deal with rickety dialogue and less-than-stellar plotting just like everyone else, but her Maureen is ultimately more than the stern cardboard cutout she first seems, and beneath her brick wall exterior, there's an anxious, delicate human being trying to do the best for her family.

Parker won't be winning any awards for her work here, but stood next to the more mediocre performances of most of her castmates, she effortlessly rises to the top.
